MetalTop is a portal both for companies offering goods or services in the meta, machinery and material industry and for potential principals who are looking for suppliers or want to commission a particular service. It is a portal for connecting principles and contractors.

Solution

At the request of MetalTop.pl, the Fingoweb team developed a modern platform to search for goods, service providers and distributors in the metal, machinery and industrial sectors. The platform was developed according to WCAG 2.0 web content accessibility guidelines. The whole process of creating requests is based on the mechanism of filtering. There is a database of bid items in the system and the searcher, by applying appropriate filters, narrows down the list of items to match his requirements. The system allows users to find potential contractors based on criteria, i.e. location, waiting time, rate, user rating. The client only needs to know the input data, i.e.: dimensions, type of material, number of copies of the series, and if there is a required level of accuracy.

On the portal, the user will also find the “Orders” tab. It is a system list of inquiries, where it is possible to place inquiries. Users have the opportunity to post their orders in the form of short entries, for example, “I am looking for a company that will perform turning services on a lathe with the following parameters …” Suppliers, manufacturers and companies, after noticing such an inquiry, have the opportunity to send an offer to perform a given service.

Our team of UX/UI experts has designed an intuitive interface for system users to ensure that they do not get lost in the amount of functionality the platform guarantees.

  • search for a subcontractor based on criteria such as: the smallest number of subcontractors, the closest distance, the shortest waiting time, partnership,
    monitoring of the course of execution of the planned order,
  • possibility to create queries under dedicated bidders;
  • technological filtering of the list of potential subcontractors based on basic technological knowledge;
  • advertising your services on the site on key subpages.

We have developed the MetalTop.pl platform in such technologies as TypeScript, React.js, PHP, Laravel.

The system is available in 3 language versions – Polish, English, German.
